Our Story

Born From a Love of Snow, Craft, and the Montana Wild

Lost Trail Snow Sculptures began as a passion project — a small gathering of artists and outdoor enthusiasts who wanted to share the raw beauty of the Sula wilderness with the world. What started as weekend carving sessions in the driveway grew into a full-fledged mountain retreat.

Today, we host guests from across the country who come seeking something different: a place where creativity meets the great outdoors, where the silence of a snow-blanketed forest is broken only by the sound of a chisel on ice, and where hospitality feels as genuine as the mountains that surround us.

Prime Location

US Highway 93, Sula — surrounded by untouched wilderness and alpine meadows.

Personal Touch

Small-group experiences ensure every guest receives individualized attention and care.

Year-Round Access

Open through every season — winter wonderland or summer mountain adventure.

Guest-First Philosophy

Every detail — from the heated floors to the locally sourced breakfast — is considered.

"The tree-line cabin was absolute magic. Waking up to nothing but pines and silence — no cell service, no noise, just the most peaceful four days of my life. Already planning our return trip."

SK
Sarah K.

"Brought my college friends for a winter getaway and this place exceeded every expectation. The snowshoe guide was incredible, and the stargazing session blew our minds. This is now our annual tradition."
